Pause

Within the months of this project, many things changed and it seemed to be a lot to handle. I felt drained, emotionally exhausted, and tired from the bottom of my heart. Nothing could make me happy for the longest and I forgot about all the little things that made me glow. The friends I had constantly reminded me to focus on myself and do things that make me happy. I was happy once, I could figure it out again. I noticed within myself that I do see the light in things. Little moments are taken for granted by everyone and although we can’t slow life down, we can still cherish memories, moments, and happier times.

Within my series of work, my intent is to capture these little moments and things that people normally take advantage of. Simple things like late nights or going for a drive with friends can increase your mood even just a little bit. My usage of glowing lights along with close up photo’s is an emphasis on the pause we must take to focus on those little moments. We will all have our bad days; some will hurt more than others. But we need to move on from something we can’t change and appreciate what you have now. Do not let any toxicity disturb your peace of mind. Overwhelm your mind and thoughts with things that make you feel like your best self.
